The man behind the studio:
Meet singer, songwriter, and producer — best known as the lead singer of the Los Angeles alternative pop band Rooney. Robert Schwartzman built and designed Beachwood Park in 2009, with special needs of recording artists in mind. Having worked with his band Rooney in top recording facilities and collaborating with legendary producers, Robert knows what's in a good studio. "This is not an overdub room, it's a place to make your album from start to finish. The drum sounds are excellent. It's also got the right amount of vibe, warm and inspiring," says Schwartzman who has a new musical project, STARSYSTEM, released on Oct. 8th.
Schwartzman has written charting radio hits internationally and has been a global touring act since 2002. He has co-written and collaborated with artists such as The Jonas Brothers, James Blunt, Demi Lovato, We The Kings, Coconut Records, Puffy Amiyumi, Sean Lennon, and Jeff Barry. Schwartzman launched an indie label in 2009 called California Dreamin’ Records and has released music by artists Miles Fisher, Lots of Love, JR., Undercover, SoloBob, Rooney, and his current solo album Double Capricorn. Schwartzman recently scored the film Palo Alto at the studio. The film is directed and written by Gia Coppola (her directorial debut), the granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola and the niece of Sofia and Roman.
The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the recording studio has a loft sleeping area with full size bed. 2 car driveway and plenty of street parking.
