The SPL Mo-Verb MicroPlug employs the same processing technique as the original Transient Designer. SPL’s Differential Envelope Technology has revolutionized dynamic processing with a level-independent method: the Transient Designer’s sustain enhancement.
This radically different approach is threshold independent so that all signals are processed equally, regardless of the input level. Additional parameters are set automatically in a musical manner, which follows the characteristics of the input signal.
Working with the Mo-Verb is disarmingly simple: all reverb and ambience events can be amplified – regardless of their signal level. However, the possibilities for studio and live applications are seemingly endless when reverb curves of any sound event can very simply be enhanced to emphasize dry ambiences and reverb-tails.
The Mo-Verb also offers an output gain control that allows compensation for level changes after processing the signal. This ensures a simple and safe adjustment of levels and helps avoiding internal clipping.
Adjust the apparent “distance” of the microphone by simply varying REVERB-ENHANCEMENT values.
Bring out the “rrringgg” in dry snare sounds by increasing its sustain with the turn of a single knob.
Create soaring guitar solos that would make even David Gilmour blush - just crank up the REVERB-ENHANCEMENT control.
Emphasize the room sound on acoustic guitar tracks by turning up REVERB-ENHANCEMENT.
Match ambience from records made from different positions or even different locations.
The Analog Code
During listening tests of this technology, a hardware developer remarked that SPL had “cracked the Analog Code!” and in the process, coined the name of SPL’s software product line.
SPL hardware products can be found in the world’s most renowned facilities, and have become a staple for audio professionals ranging from home studio owners to top mastering engineers. With the growth of computer based audio systems, the need for the SPL sound in plugin form has also grown. With Analog Code plugins, that coveted SPL sound is now available right inside your DAW.
