How to Download and Install Plugin Alliance Plugins

Congratulations on starting your journey with Plugin Alliance! By joining us, you’ve unlocked a massive collection of analog-modeled plugins and creative tools used by the world's best engineers.

We know you're eager to start making music, so we made the setup process effortless. Instead of downloading plugins one by one, you'll download the Plugin Alliance Installation Manager.

Think of this app as your personal studio assistant. It organizes, downloads, and installs Plugin Alliance's entire plugin collection in a single click so you can focus on creativity, not file management.

Step 1: Download the Installation Manager

First, head over to the Installation Manager page on the Plugin Alliance website. You will see download options for both Mac and Windows.

Download the installer for your operating system and run it as you would any other program. On Mac, drag the icon to your Applications folder; on Windows, follow the simple setup wizard.

Step 2: Log In and Sync

Once installed, launch the application. You'll be prompted to log in using the email and password for your Plugin Alliance account.

As soon as you log in, the Installation Manager will contact the Plugin Alliance servers and automatically display all the plugins available to you.

Step 3: Configure Your Installer

Now, look at the options on the left side of the window (shown in the image above) to ensure you get the right files for your computer:

  • Installation Type: Ensure "Download/Install" is selected at the top left.
  • Platform: Choose your operating system (e.g., Win 64-bit or Mac).
  • Filter by: Look at the bottom left corner. Check the box for the plugin format your music software uses:
    • VST3 (Cubase, Ableton, FL Studio, Studio One)
    • AU (Logic Pro, GarageBand)
    • AAX (Pro Tools)

Step 4: Select and Install

In the center list labeled "Select Products," you’ll see all your available plugins organized by brand.

You can browse and check the boxes next to specific plugins you want to install, or click Select All at the top of the list to download and install all plugins at once.

Once you’ve made your choices, click the large blue Download & Install button in the bottom right corner. The app will handle the rest, placing every file where it needs to go on your computer.

Step 5: Activate Your Plugins

To activate your Plugin Alliance products, drag and drop a Plugin Alliance plugin onto a track in your digital audio workstation (DAW). An authorization interface will appear, prompting you to sign in using your Plugin Alliance username and password.

All of the plugins assigned to your account will automatically activate after you sign in.

Step 6: Start Mixing and Mastering

When the progress bar finishes, you can close the Installation Manager.

Important: If your music software (DAW) was open during the installation, close it and reopen it. This forces the program to rescan your system and recognize your new plugins.
