At first, I wasn't sure if the Lindell API 2500 emulation would be this good, but I can confidently say that I am absolutely astounded by how incredible it sounds! It has the ability to make your sound clearer and more textured, and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of what this plugin is capable of. I have used it in both production and mastering sessions, and I am thoroughly impressed with the results. This will definitely be my secret weapon for achieving great sound! :)

The Lindell MBC is a game changer and works wonders on vocals. Actually, I didn't think I needed a new compressor. I use two SPL Irons in my vocal chain with different settings and am very happy with them. I have now replaced the second Iron with the Lindell MBC to test it. I was immediately impressed and will keep it in the vocal chain from now on. The multi-band compression allows you to precisely compress the frequencies you want to emphasize. This works absolutely precise and intuitive and you get exactly the result you want in a short time. The sound of the compressor is very clean and precise, but you can also change the sound with it similar to a saturator or equalizer. I have rarely seen such a versatile plugin that sounds so good and is so easy to use at the same time. I am really enthusiastic about it.

The Lindell Audio plugins are always worth checking out, and the MBC is no exception. This multi-band compressor is really easy to use and perfect for anyone intimidated by other MB compressor plug-ins. The work flow is similar to Lindell's previous 354E (Neve) MB compressor which is also excellent. This broad stroke compressor sounds great on complex source material, and is great at sorting a troublesome mixdown. It shares the sonic qualities of the Lindell SBC but across three split bands. Another great one to add to the Lindell collection.

Yes other multiband compressors exist. Waves, Fabfilter etc, and they're all doing their job well. This is special though - aside from the feel of an API 2500 dealing with different aspects of the spectrum, this is just more fun this way. Can easily be mapped to knobs, and you'll intuitively find crossovers, solo bands, apply the right amount of compression. Teh compressor guides you to the right results, you don't need presets, YOu can build your own sonic palette very fast! Well done.
