After using the bx_console AMEK 200 on different types of instruments (bass, drums, vocals, piano and keyboards), I have to say I am pretty surprised and satisfied with the transparency this plugin delivers. It adds character to the signal with subtlety. This plugin can easily become everyone's new favorite go-to console emulation!

Every section within the Console AMEK 200 simply sounds brilliant. The AMBNC functionality of both the compressor and limiter gives incredible insight into the parameters behavior. But more than anything else, it's the THD and Vgain that gives the plugin it's analog feel....or if you prefer, a beautifully clean and transparent sound.
It's actually difficult to find the right words to describe this BX_console AMEK 200. PA's ability to give a plugin such an incredible analog feel is unparalleled. If I owned no other plugins whatsoever, there still isn't a record I couldn't mix without total confidence in the results.

Two beautiful sounding channels. Both the AMEK 9099 and the 200. Had them both, one at a time on the stereo buss of a country-rock mix I'm doing right now. A touch of 60Hz Shelf. A touch of 20KHz sheen. 0.5db on 725Hz relatively wide band. 1.8 Ratio light compression. The THD at -100. That's it. Wow!!!
The 9099 sound has a pure analog "face". Analog character. very Gutsy...You can almost feel and smell the electronic components in it. I preferred the "used" look. :-)
The AMEK 200 with the same parameters was just glorious. Mastering Class.

The Amek 200 has a warmth and full-bodied character that takes your recordings and mixes to a whole new level.
