Grainferno can generate grains at speeds fast enough to cross into the audio range. At these rates, grains stop behaving like texture and start acting like oscillators—turning any audio file into a playable synth voice.

Even at audio rates, traces of the original sonic character remain, giving you unique synth building blocks with the spectral fingerprint of your source audio.

Grainferno comes alive in motion, with nearly every parameter available for modulation. Three envelopes, three LFOs, and three random generators give you deep control over evolving behavior, making Grainferno a powerful platform for dynamic sound design. A drag-and-drop workflow makes it fast and intuitive to connect any modulation source to any destination—including cross-modulation between modulators themselves.

Grainferno can generate grains from two independent source files and morph between them in real time. With seven unique modes to morph between signals, you can create granular soundscapes that continuously shift between the character of each sample.
