    Battalion is a really great sounding drum synth that is reminiscent of a mix of older/well known plugins of this genre (NI MASCHINE, FXPansion TREMOR, Waldorf Attack, Sugar Bytes Drum Computer etc.) - but definitely offers a fresher range of sounds.
    The usual voice architectures of other drum synths are extended by new possibilities, which makes Battalion the most powerful and interesting representative of this type for me at the moment! Such free and creative handling of samples, including the possibility of combining these samples with the sound of the engines, is awesome.
    The detailed Sequencer and modulation possibilities are great and in combination with a MIDI controller you can unleash the full potential of this synth. For live performances, the Master FX and limiter do a great job, and if you want to work in the DAW, you can of course also use individual outputs and automate nearly every parameter. I'm really impressed all round and haven't had this much fun with a VSTi in a long time. Unfiltered Audio really nailed it again!
