Sound and Mixing Engineer (Beyonce, The Chainsmokers, Lana Del Rey)

Using THE OVEN by Maor Appelbaum and Hendyamps has become a key part of my workflow. I’ve never heard a more musical way to transform your sounds into exactly what your looking for. The way it adds color and character to your tracks or master bus is unlike any other plugin on the market.

Veteran Audio Engineer (Wu-Tang Clan. Mob Deep. Gang Starr. Finley Quaye)

After owning the hardware THE OVEN for two years, THE OVEN plugin has immediately become the centerpiece of my processing chain on every channel and on the stereo buss, when I mix or master. To me, It’s like no other plug-in.

THE OVEN is the missing analogue glue in a digital world!

It’s emulations like this that allow me to work ITB with a smile on. THE OVEN can easily fill up any holes in a weak mix with musical density and scarily realistic analog mojo.

Dude. This sounds great. Instantly useable. I love that it’s scaled for mastering- a lot of plugs have way too much range, it’s nice to be able to do subtle stuff. Killer on vocal and mix buss. (i’m using it on a major label artist today) Might end up being the mix buss fairy dust…

Recording Engineer (Kendrick Lamar, Bakar, A$AP Rocky)

I couldn’t tell you what one knob on this thing does, but turning each one makes my mix sound a little bit better.

GRAMMY-winning mixing engineer (Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Public Enemy)

Although it's theoretically a mastering tool, I just placed it on a lead vocal that was having a tough time cutting through a dense EDM track. If you had asked me if I thought I needed yet another saturation plugin,I would have rolled my eyes.

However, there's something quite different about THE OVEN. With a medium amount of "cook" and just a small amount of "top," I was able to take this slightly dark sounding vocal and make it fit correctly in this massive track.

I love how it can be used in a subtle fashion with exactly the result I needed where EQ alone was just wasn't doing it. I can't wait to see what else it can do.

Wow, this bad boy is a HEATER. I love using it on mix bus, snare, and lead vocals to excite the signal and round off the transients.

I've only scratched the surface of this plugin but I can already see it living on my 2-bus & mastering chains. It's easy to add a nice thickness and add sheen which isn't brittle in nature. It also works great on drum and guitar busses.

THE OVEN: now we’re cooking with gas!

THE OVEN adds weight, warmth and vibe to anything you pass through it. It’s a brilliant tool, one that really can give you the extra sauce your mix needs. Very quickly, and undeniably raises your mix to the next level. It gives mixes an expensive weight and polish, and it will make your overall mix shine in ways that you might not achieve otherwise, and definitely may not achieve as quickly. The layout is perfectly conducive to making musical decisions within the multitude of sonic color and vibe options available.

This is one of those tools that can help you discover more potential in your mixes, and even become an indispensable part of how you achieve your signature sound. If you’re looking for that Hi-Fi shine, or perhaps a more vibey sound, it’s all here. Turn, tweak, step back and you will be pleased. What sets this unit apart to me, comes down to the sound. It sounds expensive.  It wakes up a mix with beautiful and ear pleasing saturation and wonderfully colorful mojo. I love the "Burners" section, this is where you can really fine tune your tone and put a vibe on the mix, and not just vibe, but a refined, really professional sounding vibe.

Another feature I appreciate is that Brainworx provides the added Mono Maker, Stereo Width and Parallel Mix options often found on their products, and this just sweetens the plugin even beyond the original hardware units capabilities.

THE OVEN has become an indispensable part of my master bus.
