  • Scalable Interface Now! :)

    ★★★★☆

Brainworx needs to update the interface on some of their older plugins. This one, which I like and use often, looks tiny on my monitor and the design of the knobs makes it hard to see their position. It needs to be scalable and the knobs need to be clearer.

OK. I've tried pretty much every guitar VST hoping to get that big thick Dual Rectifier tone and never found one that really came close...until this. THIS is the sound I am looking for.
That's it really. You can stop looking now.
  • A real head turner.

I was watching an interview with Michael Beinhorn and he mentioned that most of Superunknown used a dual rectifier, imagine my delight when I discovered that Brainwork had created an emulator.
I would also guess that the dual rectifier that most of the 'Load' and 'Reload' Metallica recorded during the mid-nineties.
This is great fun at the very least, a workhorse that is capable of a wide variety of sounds as standard.
    Rock on.

I don't play Metal, and I don't use high gain sounds. so why did I buy this amp sim? cause it's so damn versatile! it's capable of very nice and different clean or slightly crunched sounds, and its play feel is great!
  • Amazing Rectifier simulation!

I owned the real thing, actually nowadays I own a Mark V... and I'm really fan of the real deal! Normaly in all my recordings I use real amps with real cabs loaded with celestion's models, bla, bla.. But I have to admit, this simulation is amazing! Unfortunately I can't say the same about bx_megasingle (I own both plugins), it's more like the regular simulations out there, for my ears the bx_megadual has the spirit of the real rectifiers. Of course, as the real amp, I recommend everyone to try it with a TS808 before it, even for low gain tones, for tighter results. Another suggestion, try it with the OwnHammer IRs (the free pack that you get when you subscribe...). I'm not saying the IRs included are not good enough, but don't judge the amp simulation itself if you don't like the cab simulations of the plugin, give it another chance with your other IRs. All the cons of this plugin are the cons of the real amp itself, so if you are looking for a rectifier simulation, stop here, if you can't be satisfied with this plugin, think about another amp with a different tone!

I already had several virtual Recta amps from several companies but after using other Brainworx amp models and loving them I had to get Megadual and it sounds fantastic and reacts well to playing dynamics

Hi. the plugins have an excellent sound, a price that is worth paying.
What I would like is that as I use a screen reader program, called NVDA, that the plugin is more accessible to the blind.
also the posivilidad to load inpulsos of third, would be excellent. It would also be nice to be able to handle the parameters of the plugin, with a midi driver.
but in general rules, it works very well.
    thank you.

I have never played the real amp, and I can't make a direct comparison, but I will say that this is a great amp sim! Plenty of great tones available. Used it immediately in a recording and will definitely be a go to in the future.
