Fir a start I love it because it's AAX DSP! Wide palet of sounds, can be just what's needed for that elusive guitar sound that'll poke through. Only negative is distortion is somewhat all or nothing.

I bought this to add to my guitar arsenal which has yet to be with.
However, for some reason I was struck with the thought of throwing it on the mix bus.
I decided to boost the distortion and the mid level, then honed in on what I thought was the best mid frequency sonically for the track. Using my daws mix level I rolled it back to about 12% and it sounded very sweet.
What ever plugins I have, I often like to use them for unintended purposes, cool stuff can happen.
My list of tools I have from these guys, (like any tool ) are great to have for a variety of jobs.

Hell! This is pretty much the same as the BOSS Metal Zone MT-2 effect, which I own, just as a plugin. It works fine, very reliable, and helps you distorting everything way up. Recommended if you are trying to build heavy chugging guitar walls out of an amp sim. Like the ENGL, recommended, too. I am not talking blues guitar solos, I am talking Swedish Death Metal circa 1990 or modern hardcore like Deathwish releases. You can go very dirty and ugly here. Also recommended: the Bass presets! I am as content as usual. Get this if you want to do something heavier than most distortions would supply.

Really, I tried this one just for curiosity, and it blows me away...
It is hand down the best, if not the only, metal stomp I use since.
Great for singing solos, especially matched with a tube screamer after it.
    5 stars!
