Not for everything, but a real problem solver. I extended an older Music Master, extended that one with new instruments and could approve the sound from the past within a few clicks. I had sold the older hardware synth, but could adjust the new additional sounds to that older project in nice way.

Professional, professional and professional sound and plugin. Is all what I can say, really impressive, maybe the best compressor for a master session, even if I have so many famous plugin and some hardware, this DSM V3 is really awesome.

Can't believe how easy and fast you can get the exact sound you need with accurate (or bold) compression and very convenient tone shaping with DSM3. Love it!

I had spent several months trying to get the tone from one of my favorite tracks for my guitar. I had tried so, so many things, dozens of amp sims, all sorts of EQs and nothing seemed to get the sound to what I was looking for. Then I discovered this plugin. I captured that electric guitar's signal and applied it to my guitars, and I had the tone almost perfect, just like that. I couldn't believe it. 5 stars aren't enough.

I thought this may be worth checking out and I am so glad that I did. This is not necessarily the most intuitive plugin but once you get a basic understanding of how it works (I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface) it can seriously improve your mixes in ways I haven't found with anything else. It is a very unique plugin. Also, for all the complexity this thing seems to be doing it appears to be great on CPU.
I tried it on the mix bus of a track that was mostly finished and threw on the "Master" preset and adjusted the threshold, gain, and dry/wet faders a bit and when I level matched it I couldn't believe how much better it sounded. I tried this same thing after "capturing" curves from some reference tracks and that worked wonderfully as well. It is like the DSM V3 takes something that is 90% and suddenly makes it sound like a finished record. I find that it is certainly possible to go too far with it so use it tastefully. So far I have found that selecting a preset and then adjusting those faders (threshold, gain, and dry/wet) to be a good starting point to audition some different sounds you can get out of it. The other parameters are important as well, but those see to be a good starting place from what I've played with so far. I look forward to getting to know how this works even better but as of now I see this going on every mix I do.
Just in case PA is reading this, one suggestion I would make would be to have a feature where you can inversely adjust the gain fader when you move the threshold (perhaps while holding shift or something) so you can hear how the threshold setting affects the sound more accurately without being fooled by the change in volume. Each time I adjust the threshold the volume changes, which makes hearing what is going on a little more difficult. It isn't a huge deal, but that would be a cool feature. Either way, this plugin is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

I'm very pleased with this upgrade. I've always loved the kind of compression I could achieve with this plugin. The new interface is a lot more functional and some stability issues I was experiencing in FLStudio have been fixed. Nice work!
