A very different compressor. Opto compression by EQ. One of it's kind; but PA should address the CPU usage of this plugin. One instance of it can already be heavy for the overall project.

Great sounding Dynamic EQ plugin based on an exotic hardware unit well out of reach for us mere mortals. It sounds really good and brings out the mix on the mix bus sources I've tried it on. You can great really precise and surgical if you need to. Very impressive unit. Tempted to go back to old masters I've done in the past and add the LISA to the master chain. Definitely a good direction for Brainworx and PA to go in, bringing us rare units, rather than the same old stalwarts everyone else is releasing.

Man this plugin is Special.. The "TX Drive" adds character, the Highs and Lows is soo.. good also the mids as well. The dynamic section is special. Can't believe you guy's accomplish this in the box. Congratulations on making the best bus EQ/multiband compressor in the box with tweaks galore. I'm not easily impressed these days. A lot of EQs and mastering compressors have come along in recent months and years. None of them dethroned my previous choices nor compare to this. LISA has taken pole position at the top of the mastering chain. Truly beautiful programming. I'm stunned.

Not sure why they named this LISA. Obviously a very new addition to the PA community of plugins and a very welcome one. In a very competitive market of great plugins infusing itself in the audio community and recording business, it is getting harder to determine the softwares worth and functions. They all sound good. In relation to their hardware counter parts...hard to compare if you don't have access to them. So it really comes down to...does it make the music sound better? Does the Amek EQ really take the place of its counterpart? Do the SSL and Neve channel strips really emulate the sound of the hardware? The same goes with the LISA. As a subscriber and fan of PA, I really don't know. What I do know, is that their plugins sound GOOD! And this one is no exception. The LISA is a bit complex in nature and it really stresses on your ear to make decisions on the outcome. But what I find, is if you understand its functions; the results can be spectacular. If you don't.....then watch video tutorials or read the PDF's. You will then walk away with the understanding of whether the processor is useful in your work flow or not. After using the LISA in a mastering session, I was very pleased and impressed. It took a minute or two ( and a video tutorial ) to latch on to its functions and benefits. But the results were very good. With so many great offerings by PA that I have and use, it would be difficult to land on this as my go to equalizer. However, it's a definate contender for the top spot. It sounds great and offers up many ways to improve your audio as a compressor/EQ.
