Pretty funny thing to colorize sound. I love its tone and that soft pleasant crackling on extreme adjustments. It's one of my favorite saturation tools.

This one is a though one. I've been using it for about a month now and I still can't for the life of me figure out how it manages to get the results that it does. It's a harmonic generator, that much is clear. It has M/S, which is very useful, and you have great control over what it effects, how it does it and to what extent the signal is effected. Still, the results are almost magical. I tend to use a lot of virtual instruments like drums, virtual pianos and synths, and while I find they often give great sounding tracks fairly easily most of I can often end up with a very clinical sounding mix. The VSM-3 changes that! It livens up the harmonics and gives a wonderfully saturated nuance to even the most sterile instrument. It also works great on the master as a stereo enhancer and for giving some warmth to the overall thing. The effects in these cases are obviously best when they are subtle and VSM-3 is extremely flexible no matter how subtly or madly one might want to effect the source. Now, considering the asking price the product really needs to do a fantastic job. It is quite frankly a bit out of my price range but I managed to pick it up during a recent sale. I am extremely happy with my purchase but I don't know if I could justify getting any plugin at $299. But I might be in the minority here. For someone making a comfortable living as a professional mixing engineer I can't see it being a problem, but for someone like me, who mostly mixes as a secondary or third income, this would sadly be out of reach. Thank you for the wonderful sale, and for opening my world up to tools like this, P-A! Like I said: this thing.. Man.. Magic!
