Overview

Is a Dynamic Equalizer (dynEQ) an EQ or a Compressor?
The answer is: Yes, and more.

By being able to select certain frequency ranges for compression or expansion, bx_dynEQ V2 allows you to do both: adjust frequencies like an EQ and/or control dynamics like a compressor.

bx_dynEQ V2 adds M/S processing capabilities so you can separately adjust your Mid and Side signals. Truly powerful!

The M/S mode introduces Brainworx' unique "M/S cross-feed" feature, which allows Mid & Side signals to actually trigger each other!

Dampen room sounds based on bass drum hits? Raise reverb signals in beats triggered by snare hits? Yes.

bx_dynEQ V2 is a truly unique, all-inclusive dynamics processor and EQ system.

With an impressive selection of filter types (see below), bx_dynEQ V2 is an engineer’s Swiss Army Knife.

The plugin comes in 2 dedicated mono and stereo layouts, for regular L/R and M/S stereo applications as well as mono and surround signals.

Features

  • 1-band and 2-band dynamic EQ
(you won't believe what 1 or 2 bands can do!)
  • Mono, Multi-Mono, L/R and M/S Stereo operation
  • Many different types of original Brainworx filters
  • Low & High Shelving, Peak bands, various Band-Pass filters, High Pass, Low Pass, Bass Shift, Presence Shift, and Compressor Mode
  • Internal and External Sidechain Inputs
  • Complete and fully adjustable feature set
  • New "Inverse Mode" to ‘cut’ the affected frequency band based on your trigger source (great for external sidechains!)
  • M/S cross-feed feature for triggering the S signal with M signals, and vice versa
