  • Impressive

This one surprised me. I was expecting gating-artefacts at the end of an audio phrase, but De-Verb Plus does exactly what it advertises. It trims the tail depending on the threshold without any noticeable distortion.

This handy & simple to operate plugin has helped me to restore tracks recorded on a field recorder in boxy-sounding rooms & it has let me remove cheap digital reverb from otherwise good recordings. If you’ve recorded a great performance in a less than ideal setting, it’s exactly what you need!

Great plugin for your home studio rig or any recording that you want to remove the room tone

What a great plug! This plug will dry up any ambient mess faster and neater than wiping up a big fluid spill with paper towels.. Just amazing how clean the final results are. Forget EQ's to deemphasize ambient room noise, get this plug and do no damage to the audio you worked so hard to print. Used it on voice, drums, acoustic guitars, violins, it even works to tame cabinet resonance on rock guitars. Use it to taylor, or crank it to BBQ for a sound as dry as a hot desert. It just flat works.

  • Simple Problem-Solver

SPL De-Verb is a simple tool that works surprisingly well with only minimal knob twiddling. I've used it to attenuate distracting room resonance from a video recording of a presentation at a large venue where the presenter's lav picked up too much room tone. I was able to dial it back to just the right amount so it still sounded "live" while keeping the presenter's voice clearly in the foreground. I have other tools for this, but I use De-Verb the most, because it's fast, clean, and does what I need.

This is a little gem for less-than-perfect recording environments. It does a nice job of pulling out the room tone without too much signal destruction. Though I was able to hear some compression and gating. A great first step in the processing chain.
  • Does a job

No thrills. But when you need it it comes through pretty well.
  • A must have for the home studio.

This is a must have for the home studio. I don't have a good vocal booth. My recordings always had some reverb from the room, even with precautions taken. This caused a lot of artifacts which needed to be removed. De-verb helped even with my best recordings, and allows me to have the reverb I want.
