Unique stellar reverb

The Space Station UM282 is a faithful simulation of the Ursa Major Space Station SST-282, an early 80’s echo and reverb unit of legendary status.

Used on many famously atmospheric recordings such as Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence and Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, you'll find the SST-282 in the racks of Bob Clearmountain, Chris Lord Alge, Tycho, Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Ulrich Schnauss (Tangerine Dream), amongst many others.

Unlike other reverberation devices from that era, the Space Station used delay techniques to transform a mono signal into a new reverberated stereo signal.

Where traditional delay units of the past had only one or two taps, the Space Station has many: 8 taps are used for listening and the others are used to synthesize the reverberation.

The Space Station has been a secret weapon of many producers and engineers over the years. And now vintage-modelling masters Audiority's faithful plugin recreation, complete with original faceplate GUI, makes this unique sonic character available right within your DAW.
