WOW! Another stellar release from Dirk and the mofos at Brainworx! This this is AMAZING and we at Skin City Records have come to expect that from these plugins. As a subscriber to the Mix and Master Bundle, I've had the privilege to use and experiment with the other channel strips ( SSL, Neve, Lindell ) offered; but this one exceeds all of them. The GUI looks incredible and the plugin sounds fantastic. Personally, I've always found flaws in channel strip emulations. They never quite gave me that analog warmth that the hardware units did. Used correctly ( which isn't hard to do ),this will do just that and improve your sound and speed up your work flow. Brilliant......

To start emulating something done by Rupert Neve is an extremely difficult job, and few in the world do it like PA. This plugin has absolutely all the controls you need to color all the elements, from a voice, percussive instruments, master bus, etc., without forgetting the patented TMT PA technology. From the input filters, dynamics controls (gate, compression expander and limitation), the handling of the SC, THD level, all of these have a notably higher quality compared to many other chanel strips and emulations made to date, of course, by this one. excellent emulation of the mixer designed by RN. The mono maker and stereo width gives a great touch to this emulation that does not exist in the physical equipment. congratulations PA did an excellent job for fans of musical perfection.

Well, PA have gone and done it again with another fantastically modeled channel strip, but with more bells and whistles than the original hardware version! Total integration of components seem to have gone into this plugin to lessen the need for additional tools/plugins to get the right sound happening! The TMT technology and the ability to rearrange the layout is that extra spice you can expect from Plugin Alliance. Yeah, there's a lot of knobs! But it's really just a comprehensive channel strip/console emulation with a few nice touches - "Ambience" to "listen" on what the compression is doing; "Clip" and "Mix" on the limiter; and "Mono Maker" and "Stereo Width" on the master section. I can't say I've heard the original Neve console it's based on (https://www.mixonline.com/recording/amek-9098i-large-format-line-mixing-console-373370), but it sounds great.

I'm a huge fan of Brainworks plugins but i have to say that this is another level. It improved my workflow a lot. This plugin have eveything you need (Filters, Compressor, Gate, Limiter, BEAUTIFUL colour EQ, Notch for surgical EQ, Stereo widening knob, Mono maker knob, Auto Listen, Noise, THD, TMT tech, and MORE). The Sheen and Glow options are amazing, i really love them! I don't really like stereo widers, but brainworks tech do that really well so i used to use my Bx_digital v3 for stereo widening, right now i don't have to run the Bx_digital on my chain only for that anymore! Thx PA and BX for this jewell, i'm super glad to have this tank on my arsenal. Short review?: Game changer!

The Amek 9099 is like another jewel in the crown of BX from the stunning GUI packed full of features you will actually use and speed up you workflow in the process. You Could complete whole mix or at least meat and potatoes using just this channel strip but with the list of toys in my monthly subscription this is another powerful tool in the box or another sprinkle of magic seasoning Job Well done again!
