Since I have owned the SSL 4000 E, it quickly became an indispensable channel strip throughout all my DAWs. In all my half-decade mixing experience, I have never found a universal plugin for all purposes. Where have my ears been all this time?

This plugin is really great. The sound is really close to 4000 series console, the EQ and Dynamics section interacts just like it would on the real desk, the saturation controls are actually really nice for adding a little bit of glue to a whole mix, has a clean GUI that makes adjustments easy, and the CPU hit of this plugin for my sessions, either in Pro Tools or in FL Studio, is very reasonable. For those reasons, this plugin is now my default channel strip of choice, and it now lives on insert 4 on every new channel I open up that isn't a buss or a master fader. If there is any one thing I would love to see improved on the plugin itself, I would love to have the stereo width and mono maker controls from the AMEK channel strip, and then maybe some extra options to mess with the side chain of the plugin. Overall, a fantastic plugin, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the SSL Channelstrip workflow.

This channelstrip changed the way I mix. I put it on every channel and use the tmt function. I use this for all instruments and vocals, but sometimes add some eq, compression with other plugins. Love the sound, the feel and big GUI.

Nothing beats this for drums. I love the black knob EQ (I haven't yet found a use for the brown as much but it's nice to have it in there) and the compressor is just gold for close mics. I use this on drums and distorted guitars, and the 4000 G emulation on everything which I want to have a stronger lower midrange presence. Both of them are miles better than the Waves emulations, and if you're patient, you can get them for basically the same price through flash sales etc.
