    Where I think this compressor is really something else is in the way it brings a whole mix forward. Set the right way, it just has a wonderful tendency to bring out subtle details in the music like nothing else I've heard. Keep in mind this compressor gives you a metric ton of control so it IS possible to detrimentally affect your mix - so becareful and invest some time in learning what everything does. You also get 2 versions: Mix and Master. I'll deduct 1 star for the tiny GUI that can't be adjusted and the insane pricetag (wait for a sale).

    There really is something special about elysia and the alpha comp is no exception. For modern pop/dance music this compressor excels. It makes your mix smooth and punchy with hardly any gain reduction. I am amazed !

    Sounds amazing on the 2 bus for mixes and for mastering! Really adds that subtle glue that is needed to get that final cohesive sound out of a mix. Great compressor to add another colour to your collection.

    I can't say enough good things about this plugin. I haven't used the hardware version so I don't know how it stacks up but this is a very powerful plugin. I've even listened to commercially mastered music through this and in a few minutes I was getting a slightly punchier and bigger sound. Well worth the money.

    I had the chance to try the original one and this plug-in is as close as you can get to the real thing.I love putting it in the master bus right at the beginning and start mixing into the comp. I never achieved similar results with any other tool!Thanks for this beautiful "peace" of gear :)

    The alpha compressor is recommended to everyone who needs a transparent dynamic tool. Very good for finishing your material at mastering without coloration and with a subtle touch when using the "warm" button.
