  • Well done!

Most multi-band compressors try to be very clean and transparent so it's nice to have a multi-band option with some color and character.
It's also nice to see a vintage emulation incorporate some modern features such as M/S processing, adjustable crossover points, and ability to solo individual bands.

If you search "mixbuss multiband compression" on audio forums the most common advice is "don't use it", because multiband comps are capable of doing some serious damage and you're better off fixing the mix before reaching for one.
    Until now.
The 354E is not that kind of multiband comp. Yes, it will fix any tonal balance problems in your mix if you need to, but this sounds gorgeous and is not a clinical tool but more like a musical sweetener.
It's all there, a mid/side option on each band, all the control you need, a fantastic interface, easy to work with and adds a wonderful analogue Neve®️ lushness to your recordings without losing any definition.
I'm in love with this thing. Once I started using it that was it!
Use it on busses, basses, anything. A fave plugin.
...and what about that Nuke button!

This is rather cliché, but we hear mention of 'glue' quite a lot, well here is another pot of excellent 'glue' that just happens to be a rather nifty audio tool. Sounds fantastic, does an excellent job. What else does one need?

I love this plug I have used 2254's for many years
and this is different being 3 band but retains all the warmth and character of the real hardware 2254.

This is really a fantastic band compressor, having such a classic sounding compressor on a multi band format makes it even better.
The sweepable X-over range bands makes it better for controlling the weight/pump/color and compression for the range desired for affecting the sound. Also the modes like the nuke! and Niveau Rocks, M/S on each band helps controlling the nuances either on Mid or Sides. over all i love it, it found a place on my groups for drums bass and vocals.

The VERY first time I use the Lindell 354E on my drum sub really elevated my drum mixing! He gave them the breath the presence in the depth that always want it without using four or five other plugins. But it's not just for drums, try it on bass, guitars, keyboards, percussions even vocals you'll be amazed. I must have plugins for adding life to your mixing sessions!

This is pretty amazing! There's a lot to wrap my head around but it really has a nice hardware flavor especially for rock.
  • Drum bus heaven!

I have been using this plugin for a few weeks now, and I have to say that it is my go to plugin in for drum bus compression. I love using this for parallel bus compression, and I love the M/S feature! It beautifully allows me to widen my drum mix with the M/S functions. Also, the oversampling feature is a big plus! It's sound is so gooey and bold! I love it!!!
  • 354E "awesomeness"

    by MixedbyMe
What can I say about the 354E except that this one is a keeper, the warmth that it adds just sitting on the master chain is like nothing else, start to drive into it and the most beautiful yet subtle coloration starts, drive some more and it does exactly what you would expect but still doesn't break up, nuke it and it gives drums what you have always been missing. This just replaced several competitors plugins. I can't wait to see what Lindell and PA come up with next.
