Overview

Spot the problem - Reduce Harshness - Add Life and Sparkle

The Harshness Control allows you to eliminate unpleasant high frequencies from complex signals and during mastering. Based on M/S (Mid/Side) processing, it imparts a tube-like analog smoothness and tames unpleasant digital harshness.

Add Tube-like Tone

bx_refinement is not an emulation of a certain tube sound. Instead, it combines several characteristics found in musical tube equipment to give you an effective tool that is easy to operate.

Easily Target Problem Areas

With simple controls, bx_refinement allows you to quickly identify and discard offending frequencies.

Dynamic & Groovy

The oscillation option creates nice warming effects. You can adjust the speed of the oscillator and even sync it to the tempo of your song. This way you can emphasize the groove of your mix.

bx_refinement is a processor that will truly stand alone in your sonic toolkit.

Features

Proven handy for de-harshing a few edgy sounding hard rock/metal projects in combination with EQ. The range and speed in the dynamics section especially useful. As always: tread carefully.
