    I've owned this plugin for years, and have just found a new way to use this bad boy. I can't give full details of how I'm using this plugin, but the insane width and sparkle I am able to get from the XL saturation in my master chain is a total game changer. Major breakthrough for me and my clients.

    No other tool is a guaranteed winner without a bunch of complicated and weird side effects for mastering. The XL saturation is probably the key here and its aptly named, its phat and also very transparent at the same time. It doesn't always sound good on high end but sometimes it does, and always sounds good on low end. More complicated mastering plugins are hit or miss but this one always hits. I would not recommend this on a mixing buss, I would use it to master, or to shape a track. Too powerful for mixing buss! The lo-mid, high-mid and side paradigm with saturation and limiting creates a fantastic workflow to build mastering around. I can apply this a bunch of times and not feel like its degrading the sound (I don't slam it into square waves though). For example, I might do some initial shaping of the low low end, do some other processes, and then apply again as the balance changes and focusing more on the low mids and below and on the upper. Only risk with this tool is its powerful and it will do what you tell it to do with the knobs. My favorite bx plugin I think.

    Eines vorweg - ich bin kein Profi - habe viele Jahre in einem kleinen Homestudio elektronische Musik komponiert - jetzt nach vielen Jahren Pause habe ich mir ein kleines mobiles virtuelles Studio auf meinem Lenovo T480 aufgebaut, da ich live elektronische Musik mache. Bei Plugin-Alliance habe ich viele Plug-Ins gefunden, die ZUVERLÄSSIG - CPU-schonend einen sehr guten Sound machen. Um die Tracks lauter zu bekommen habe ich viele Dinge ausprobiert - und bin dann doch immer wieder zu dem bx_XL V2 gekommen. Wichtig ist nur: die DOSIS ist das Gift. Der XL_V2 ist für mich vor allem etwas für die Summe - und das natürlich am Ende - und dann, dosiert eingesetzt, kann der Mix ohne Druck und Klarheit zu verlieren, deutlich lauter werden. Man benötigt jedoch perfekte Monitore/ Monitorkopfhörer und gute Ohren und die nötige Zurückhaltung - aber dann fand ich bisher nix besseres bei der Konkurenz. Das Plugin verbraucht im Gegensatz zu anderen bx-PlugIns etwas mehr CPU - aber es leistet auch viel - und deshalb ist es für den mobilen Einsatz nur etwas für die Summe - bei Live-Auftritten reicht auch der einfache Limiter - da muss man ohnehin nur die PA mehr aufdrehen ;-) :-)

    Incredible plug! Been using it for about half a year now on the majority of my work. Always makes the low end so much clearer in my opinion. All of the bx stuff is great but this is an absolute favorite of mine!

    I have so much fun with this one. If you push it reasonably, it gives you the perfect sound. The controls are so intuitive...
    If you push it too hard, it will raise the very low frequencies below 20Hz. But some people love it that way...

    Just followed the steps from the demo video to see what I could really get from this plugin "in under 10 minutes"--it really is that easy to get to a great, clean, and full sound at master level volume while still keeping excellent dynamic range that quickly! Having all the meters and soloing options to help work out the final mastering details all in one UI is also timesaving!! Love the sound! Great job Brainworx/Plugin Alliance!!

    Since using this plug-in for the first time i have it on every template i start from. it is quite simply the best m/s limiter out there. i have a safesound stereo toolbox on my hardware master bus and BX_XL_V2 on the software bus. this is every bit as characterful as the safesound, and adds something more, if that's possible. if you buy one PA plug-in make it this one. 100%
