I have used many SSL emulations over the years including Waves and UAD but this one takes the cake! Beautiful highs and deep lows with a compressor that behaves in a perfect manner.

If you only had one plugin to mix a record, this would be the one to get. Thousands of hit records have been mixed on this console and in a word this plugin nails it! The whole concept of TMT modelling is pure genius! Of course, if you want to get a couple of other plugins to round out the whole in the box studio experience, you might want to get a good tape emulation plugin and a good mastering plugin as well. Fantastic work here by Plugin Alliance!

Love this emulation. Belongs to the top 3 consoles out there but that being said, being in the digital realm I wish the compressor had the option to disable the makeup gain. Sometimes I just need to tame some peaks. I find myself messing with fader back and forth to level the match between the eq and dynamics.

I never leave reviews. I have other console strips by Brainworx and others. This 9000j console can do it all(I have the amek and do like the stereo options).I use it for sparse folk style music and it excels though you see it almost pushed into the pop, hip hop genres. The compressor is just so buttery even on the master. Very low CPU as well. My only gripe with bx is please give us the option of separate L/R faders like your competition as many of use stopped using their products.

I have been playing for several years using emulations of analog consoles from other brands...this one really offers a lot of punch, warmth, dynamics and control and, which for me is decisive for the evaluation of an effect, it offers ready-to-use presets all very incisive . if I had to find a fault ... the interface is not very tidy, but once you get used to it it becomes one of the reference points of any mix.

I have never used SSL hardware and cant say how its actually sounds. But when I hear audio through bx_SSL 9000 J I just love the sound. TMT is such a simple concept but has a huge difference from other analog model plugins.
